1. About SetSync

SetSync is a workout tracking application provided by its independent developer. In this policy, “SetSync,” “we,” and “us” refer to the app and its developer.

2. Information SetSync collects

Depending on how you use the app, SetSync may store:

• Your email address and Firebase user ID.
• Workout history and workout details, including exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, plate counts, drop sets, and supersets.
• Workout templates and suggested template values.
• Personal record markers associated with workout sets.
• Weight, progress, and body measurement entries that you choose to add.
• App preferences, including units, week start, rest timer, auto-pause, PR feedback, and template update settings.

3. How information is used

SetSync uses this information to provide and maintain core app features, including:

• Creating and accessing your account.
• Recording workouts and showing workout history.
• Tracking progress, measurements, and personal records.
• Creating, using, and updating workout templates.
• Remembering your app and workout preferences.
• Keeping your data associated with your authenticated account.

4. Firebase and Google services

SetSync uses Firebase Authentication for account access and Cloud Firestore for storing app data. These services are provided by Google and may process information as needed to operate, secure, and maintain their services.

Google’s handling of data is also governed by its own terms and privacy policies.

5. Data sharing and advertising

SetSync does not sell your personal data and does not use your data for advertising.

Information may be processed by Firebase and Google as service providers so that authentication, storage, and other app functionality can work. Information may also be disclosed if required by applicable law or a valid legal process.

6. Device features and permissions

SetSync may use device audio and haptics for optional in-app feedback, such as personal record feedback. SetSync does not record audio.

SetSync does not use your camera, contacts, or location.

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app by opening Account and selecting Delete account. If you cannot access the app, email setsyncworkout@gmail.com and include the email address connected to your SetSync account.

8. Data retention and deletion

Account and workout data is generally retained while your SetSync account remains active. When account deletion is completed, SetSync is designed to remove the Firebase Authentication account and associated user data stored for the app.

Some information may remain temporarily in service-provider backups, security logs, or records where retention is reasonably necessary for legal, security, or operational purposes.

9. Security

SetSync uses Firebase services and account-based access controls to help protect user data. We take reasonable steps to limit access to your information, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. General audience

SetSync is designed for a general audience. It is not specifically directed at children. If you are under the age required to create an online account in your region, you should use SetSync with permission from a parent or guardian.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when SetSync features, services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
